An Android Tablet is a Tablet PC equipped with a touchscreen running an Android OS. Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google and is based upon the Linux kernel and GNU software. By providing an open development platform, Android offers developers the ability to build extremely rich and innovative applications. Usage  of Tablet PC in environments is not conducive to a keyboard and mouse such as lying in bed, standing, or handling with a single hand. Coming in various sizes and shapes, and boasting of PC-like functionalities, tablet PCs are the next big thing in computing space.
